Colorless to light gray transparent or translucent viscous liquid or paste, containing trace amounts of powdered silica is white to translucent. Tasteless, almost odorless, neutral, non-volatile, non-burning, stable to heat, in a large temperature range, very little viscosity change. Very poor electrical conductivity. It doesn’t work on most chemicals. The defoaming power is very strong. The viscosity of general commodities is (100 ~ 1100)×10-6m2/s. Soluble in benzene, toluene, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and ether, slightly soluble in acetone, ethanol, insoluble in methanol, propylene glycol, liquid paraffin, glycerin, vegetable oil and water.
